Day 2 - Berlin Dresden

Your tour of former East Berlin takes in the Berlin Wall, the nostalgic Check-Point Charlie, the rejuvenated Potsdammerplatz, Karl-Marxplatz, Museums Island, Berliner Dom, Jewish Memorial and the well-known Unter den Linden Street. Make a brief stop at Park Sans Souci to admire its beautiful gardens before departing for Dresden.

Depart to Auschwitz. Declared as an UNESCO World Heritage Site, this Nazi Concentration Camp saw the demise of 1.5 million Jews during World War II. Face the grim realities as the evidence of inhumanity is set before you in your memorable visit to Auschwitz. Back in Krakow, your tour of this old imperial city of Poland includes a visit to the Wavel Hill Castle district to see its impressive Cathedral and Palace. Later visit Stare Miasto - the Old Town, where Rynek Glowny, the Market Square with its dazzling Sukiennice Cloth Hall and Saint Mary Church, is located.

A quick photo stop will be made in this picturesque Town Square adorned with several church spires and bell towers before you depart for Hungary.

On arrival in Budapest, ascend Gellert Hill for a spectacular panoramic view of the twin-cities of Buda and Pest. Be entertained with Gypsy music

as you dine a Hungarian meal with typical goulash soup.

Your tour of the new city, Pest, includes views of the Parliament, Embassy Row, Heroes Square, and the Opera House. The Danube divides the newer commercial Pest and historic Buda. Proceed up Buda Hill to visit Fisherman’s Bastion and Matthias Church. View the Palace complex and enjoy the panorama of the ‘twin cities’ that is known as the “Paris of the East”. Explore a local market and free time to shop in Vaci Street, before leaving on an afternoon drive to Vienna, the city of Classical Music & Waltz. *This evening you may want to attend a Classical Waltz Concert of Johann Strauss and Mozart.

Begin your morning with visits to Hundertwasser Haus and Schonbrunn Palace. Your city sightseeing begins with a drive around the Ringstrasse where the State Opera, the classical-style Parliament, the gothic-style City Hall, and the baroque-style Royal Opera, are located. Pay homage to the King of the Waltz, Johann Strauss II, in the Stadtpark. Afternoon Walking Tour – Beginning at the Maria-Theresien-Platz with two Museums, Natural History and Fine Art, flanking it, you then cross over to the Hofburg Imperial Palace complex of the Habsburgs. Continue your stroll through busy streets to Saint’s Stephen Cathedral in the heart of the old town. Spend the rest of the afternoon in the busy shopping area on Karntner Street.
